Junior Data Scientist

Roles & Responsibilities
As a Junior Data Scientist, you will work closely with Engineering/Product/Implementation teams to build state-of-the-art ML-based solutions for B2B SaaS apps. You will leverage not only advanced techniques for predictions, time-series forecasting, NLP, optimization, but also deep understanding of business issues and problems.
Apply excellent problem-solving skills to deconstruct business problems and formulate solutions from first-principles
Contribute to building the data science roadmap and the core intelligence powering Hypersonix products
Collaborate with product management and engineering to design the product strategy, identify key metrics to drive the business, and support product development with proof-of-concept demonstrations
Perform rapid prototyping of experimental solutions and develop robust, sustainable, and scalable production systems
Work with large scale data (currently in the retail and CPG domains) to feed the data science algorithms
Apply out-of-the-box algorithms as well as develop custom algorithms as needed
Drive productization of code to be used in enterprise software products
You will work with fellow data scientist and mentor junior team members
Skills Required -
Experience - 1 - 2 years of experience in solving data science problems that have driven value to customers
Hands-on programming skills and ability to write modular and scalable code in Python. Knowledge of SQL is required
Solid understanding of probability, statistics, optimization, machine learning. Extensive experience in one or few specific techniques is an advantage
Experience in building analytical or data-driven software products in an engineering organization interfacing with other teams and departments. Familiarity with software development tools such as git, AWS, bash, Airflow
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, operations research or related
